Regarding the vibration at idle issue. Was it eventually sorted out? I have a new 320i and I am experiencing this issue. It gets worse when the temperature is low or when it is raining. PML claims it is normal for the F30. However, it feels shockingly unrefined to me. 2012 BMW F30 328i [5.74] 2009 BMW X5 xDrive30i [0.00] 2004 BMW M3 SMG [8.66] Quote: Originally Posted by StevenBTO. Previously I stated it had to sit for 20 minutes, but I found this is not the case. It happens immediately. On a side not, often when I kicked down the gas pedal on a drive (accelerate), the engine would be slumpy and shaky When the car is idle (either in Park, or in drive with the brakes engaded), there is a very subtle shake to the car. I can feel the vibrations. The car idles at about ~ 700 rpm. (It goes from 683 to 717 and changes.. it should be like this?) I replaced spark plugs (ngk) and engine mounts (febi), it still shakes and I really don't think this is 328i. Specifically, it's a 2007 [pre-LCI] 328i 6MT Sedan w/ Sport Package w/ ~210k miles. I'm experiencing an odd shaking and vibration throughout the car whenever I accelerate. It seems to get progressively worse as I climb through the gears until it's almost unbearable at any speed requiring gears 4-6. The shaking is worst under acceleration FredoinSF. Engines vibrate, but if it's to the degree that you have to ask then something is likely amiss. Assuming the engine is running smoothly, I would start checking motor mounts. If the engine is running rough then start with the common maintenance and repair to get it running correctly. With a condition such as this, it is normal for it to run rougher when electrical components are tuned on and it is normal for a car to run rough when the idle is to low. My first instinct here is to clean the throttle body, fully warm the car, connect a scanner, and command the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve to move the idle high and low to see l0in2M.
